To get the answer we have to subtract 3 \frac{1}{2} -2 \frac{2}{3}=  \frac{3*2+1}{2}- \frac{2*3+2}{3}= \frac{7}{2}- \frac{8}{3}= \frac{7*3}{2*3}- \frac{8*2}{3*2}= \frac{21}{6}- \frac{16}{6}= \frac{5}{6} - its the result
